    83 intermittently stalling at idle

    I have just taken my 83 out of inside winter storage-started weekly but not driven. It is running well but has, for the first time, been stalling at idle. Does it warmed up, even after driving 45 minutes yesterday. It is intermittent but regularly occurring. It is occurring when I stop (stop sign, stop to back into parking space, etc). Immediately restarts with no problem so I know its not the fuel pump (been there, done that). Any thoughts before I nag Rob Grady?

    My guess would be the idle motor is sticky after winter storage. Pull the idle motor and clean it out with solvent. Don't use any metal tools to poke inside.

    Use up what gas you still have and fill with fresh fuel. That may be all it takes. Make sure the battery is fully charged.

    simple to find out.

    does the idle overswing sometimes?

    if not -> sticky !
