Chicago Reader - Show Us Your ... Custom DeLoreans (article)

I had a quick phone interview with the Chicago Reader Paper, less than a week ago and this article is already online.

The "hardcopy" version should be hitting the "FREE" boxes on Wednesday this week, if you care to pick up a copy.

    http://www.chicagoreader.com/chicago...t?oid=13014824

The article appears in the "Show Us Your _____" section. This article is titled "Show us your ... custom DeLoreans".

This article appears right after an article the paper did on "Show us your ... drones" (for the Chicago Area Drones Club).

Lots of interview content, but they used less than 10%. And I do not recall speaking "gleefully" in the interview. (LOL)

It started out as a DeLorean Midwest Connection club article, but the author was easily distracted with my projects.

    Later,
    Rich W.

Rich, your projects are a blessing for all of Illinois publishing houses when it comes to delorean reporting.
I am sure Dave at DMCMW will have a hard time pulling their attention by just doing an excellent job.

Thanks for your comments Alexakos. Ironically, I seem to get more attention and interest "away" from Illinois and the Chicago area.
Just like a lot of other things, if you see something on a regular basis or too often, it becomes common-place and almost "expected".

Hardcopy of the Chicago Reader "hit the boxes" yesterday. Attaching a copy of the article, from the paper, from the top of Page 7.

A couple of bonus photos that I had sent along to the editor, but they did not get used with the article.

    JZD-Rich-W-cars-scanned.jpg

    - a photo of JZD @ DCS 2000, standing between two of my three stock DeLoreans: my 81, JZD, my 82

    JZD-Rich-W-scanned.jpg

    - a photo of JZD and myself @ DCS 2000 (IIRC, this was at the Crawford Auto Museum, Friday night)

After looking at these and other photos from DCS 2000, I would like to thank Ken Koncelik once again,
for getting JZD to attend DCS 2000. It was a very memorable experience for myself and many others.

Attaching a photo of a Chicagoan reading the Custom DeLorean article in the Chicago Reader.
(my sister took the photo this morning, in Chicago, on her way to work at O'Hare Airport)

Ha the good ol "L" Blue line.

Gotta be a great feeling when you see your work published on hard copy.

Yes, it's pretty cool, especially when my cousin called last night to tell me her daughter had to give the boys in her class
a lesson in DeLorean 101, since most of them did not know what a DeLorean is. What are they teaching kids these days?

And it takes a true Chicagoan (past or present) to know that the Blue Line "L" is the one that goes to O'Hare Airport.
