Rear 15" wheels in the front too?

I just got a new set of refurbished stock wheels (thanks Josh!) and I love em. However, I ran into an issue: the 14" front wheels won't clear my brake setup. The rears will mount up and clear, so I'm thinking of buying 2 more rears and running a "square setup" with the same wheels all around.

The offset and width for the rears is a bit of an issue, but I might be able to machine a new hub to tuck the front wheels inward a bit. I could also narrow the wheels an inch or so if I had to.

Question: has anyone ever seen a Delorean with 15" rears all around? Is this a terrible idea?

I'd rather not go back to stock brakes if I don't have to, the Wilwoods are pretty nice.

    Thank you!
    Jim

I have seen it done and it looks VERY good. I believe the guy said he had the lip machined down some and possible the center. He ran 205 50 or 55 up front and said there was only a slight rub at full lock. I will never forget how good that car looked with rears all the way around.

I can swap you out for a pair of refurbished rears if you would like.

    What an awesome vendor
Why don't you try both rears on one side and see what it looks like.?

Yes, great vendor for sure. Great communication and he knows what I need before I even ask for it I can visualize the look by putting both rears on one side, but I haven't purchased tires yet. If I do a square setup I will alter my tire choice a bit.

Overall it sounds like it's possible, so I'll most likely get another set of rears and modify them later if I have to. Hard to tell if everything will line up when the body is on the other side of the shop

This is the only pic I was able to dig up. The view from the front really showed how good they look.
