    Car museum thread

I'll start, with the Volo in IL, which I got a chance to check out while having some work done at MW last week. The have hundreds of perfectly restored vintage cars there, and most of them are for sale. Visiting a car museum is a different experience when your dream car is out in the parking lot, though, haha...

A few I might have wanted if I had unlimited funds and garage space:

    Batmobile:

    Obligatory BTTF car:

(It's a George Barris replica and honestly not that impressive if you've seen really well-done ones before.)

    Post your favorite museum pics/recommendations!

Another one of the BTTF car from the front, in case citizen wants it for his museum D page. It has Barris's signature on the front. I thought I had one of the inside but I must have taken it with my cellphone whose SD card crapped out the day after I got back (not the absolute end of the world b/c I'd shot most of the good pics with my real camera too and already posted the best phone pix here or on insta/tumblr, but still, arrrggggghhhh...)

Some nice cars there. Batmobile is nice. The time machine is lacking the eyebrows on the front fascia...hehe. Ever notice you never see an AMC Pacer in a museum?

Au contraire! http://www.amcpacer.com/stories/lemay-pacer.asp Their current website doesn't say whether it's still there, so you'll have to go check it out and report back.

Didn't mean to clutter but I thought non-D cars might be off topic in that thread. Like these...

I think my dad had one of these. His wasn't this color, though.
