Great event for a first timer!

Big thanks to Justin and the gang for pulling the DMA event together this past weekend. I think I got the award for being the "newest" owner, as I've owned 3886 for about 1 week now.

New car..first delorean event...it all happened very fast!

The day was super helpful for me as a new owner and I got some amazing advice from the group. Especially helpful was getting to spend some time with Josh from DPI and Rob from PJ Grady. Both of those guys are class acts and really put a lot of time into helping us ensure our cars didn't have any issues. Josh pointed out a few gaskets and some other minor items, but overall, he verified that my recent purchase was a good one (as I already knew because of all the help I got on this forum during my purchase.)

Anyway..thanks for putting together a great event, and thanks to Josh and Rob for making the long drive in. I'll be sending some orders both your ways as a thank you for your support.

ps. if any of you guys are in the NE PA area, stop by my wife's ice cream shop. 1950's..all homemade. (Including our maple bacon.) www.theinsidescoop.com

It was a great time and although ownership is still around the corner for me it was a treat to soak up some knowledge from the best. I am blown away by the support of the community.

Special thanks to tommyrich for letting me take a sold car out for a spin and sorry I didn't slide that seat back. I am also thankful my first DMC12 manual drive was on such a great car.

I am better for the experience and know that the raffle items have found their way to a couple of great cars.

And yes the salad dressing came out of my Class-5 Marty vest.

    EDIT: photos coming.

    relays

did I get the relays from you? if so...the extra $$ I gave you was warranted. those are worth about$100. I already put them in.

keep me posted on your search.

note...if anyone needs a tune up kit, I won one that I won't be using.

That's me. I figure better the parts go on a car than sit on my shelf.

Next time I'm in the area I'll drop by for a cone or shake.

    Paul,
It was great to meet you too after chatting via email for a couple of weeks. I am sure you knew I was kidding about leaving the seat up, when you are 6'4" everybody does that to you . I will definitely keep an eye out for you. And we will continue to chat via email. It took me a while to find my first Delorean (now I just sold it... Sniff.... Sniff ).

I don't always drive cars, but when I do, I prefer DeLoreans

No-one is to stone anyone, even, and I want to make this absolutely clear, even if they do say "carburetor"
