Stainless Steel - Coolant Bottle

Hey gang!

I was curious if anyone happens to have a stainless steel coolant bottle?

I've unfortunately still got the original plastic one and would like to upgrade to the stainless one.

I know they sell them online but I thought I'd try my luck here first.

If you don't find a used one here I'll throw in a word of caution not to buy one from John Hervey (specialtauto) His have a stainless body but a brass neck that is painted silver. The paint instantly flaked off mine and looks bad. I think nearly all of the other vendors have coolant bottles that are made from 100% stainless including the neck.

I was just looking at his website and it says even the neck is stainless steel. Do you have an older one from him?

He may have changed vendors if the website is saying they are all stainless now. I purchased mine quite a while ago...probably around 2010.

Wonder who's got the best one, DPI's goes for $189.95, DeLorean.com for $139 and the basic version at Special T for $124.50 (or the kit for 166.85).

That said, I'd imagine there isn't too much to choose between with a stainless bottle. It's just a chunk of metal - as long it holds water
