Great job on the film, Tamir. I really enjoyed it.
I, too, am someone that has ever evolving opinions of JZD. I certainly don't think he was all bad, but I definitely don't think he was some saint either. And there's no mistaking Zach's life with one of a bunch of glitz and glamour. That was some pretty raw emotion there, and real honest. If I have my limits with all the jokers at car shows and their bizarre comments and references, I can only imagine how difficult life would have been for Kathryn and Zach. Good on you for having them be a big part of the film. And thanks to them both for their willingness. They gave a personable view on the story that no one else would have been able to, and the film was made better because of it.
And on the subject of Easter Eggs... was that a Hot Wheels DeLorean on the kitchen counter during the reenactment scene of when she gets the call that John's been arrested?

We were privileged to get to watch the movie at a local theater yesterday. Afterward we got to visit with a dozen or so others who watched it with us and wanted to hang out afterward.
The movie is just terrific. It's well balanced between the technical/business side and the personal/family side with tight editing of a complicated story. Knowing what I do about the many twists and turns of the DeLorean saga I wondered what they'd need to leave out. The answer is precious little! And I learned a few new stories.
For all the stillborn attempts at making a DeLorean biopic - which the movie itself salutes - I'm glad this is the one that got released.
The docu-reenactment treatment is brilliant. Kudos to Tamir, the acting talent and the entire movie team for pulling off such an approachable and engaging movie.
We enjoyed every minute!
