mid engine delorean only made for 1 year

I know I am new to the delorean world, but I had no idea that the delorean was a mid engine car that was only made for 1 year. it is the same as the Lamborghini and Ferrari. it also was the car that "he (john d) got caught selling cocaine to the FBI" for. I also learned that "cocaine is not a good way to fund a car company"
