I've been in the Delorean world for only a few months and in this short time, I've needed a bunch of small (and some big parts.) I've gotten parts from Josh at DPI, Rob Grady, and Dave and Julee at DMCMW.

Josh's exhaust has been amazing, and his service and support after the sale has been tremendous. He is always available to help with any special parts I need and everything I've gotten from him has dramatically improved my car.

Dave and julee have helped with some of the dmc specialty items such as their fuel pump and louver brace and have always provided service with a smile.

But today, after a conversation with Rob Grady a few days ago, I got "screwed." I mentioned to rob on the phone that one of the screw heads on my door striker was rubbing against the fiberglass body. (probably a door alignment issue.) Lo and behold, 2 days later, a little packet of flat head screws arrived in the mail with a nice note from Rob. I didn't order them. I didn't even really know they existed. but now my problem is solved. Service like that is hard to find and he sure knows how to gain customer loyalty and exceed expectations!

And speaking of exceeding expectations, josh's exhaust made a shocking improvement in my car's performance! I never would have thought it would feel so significant.

thanks to this motley crue for making my first few months of ownership very painless.

When you're dealing with the best, you tend to get the best - and DMCMW, DPI, and PJ Grady are the best when it comes to DeLorean parts/service

And yeah, freeing up the exhaust is definitely the best bang for the buck performance modification that one can do with the stock PRV - no doubt. The other common mods short of increasing compression or going forced induction (cams, HEI, etc) are all of 'dubious' value, as far as bang for the buck is concerned, IMHO

Glad you're enjoying your car and being a part of the community

Well, I had to read that paragraph a few times to actually understand that your happy with unexpected service by Rob. With free screws. Not that he screwed you over. Whew. That sounds more like it.

Glad your D-ownership is working out well for you so far.

Maybe add to the title...."but its a good thing..."
id hate to think people just skimming titles will avoid rob based on the title alone. I know, its as long shot but it does happen. I know you meant it as a good thing though...Rob is a great guy.

yup. rob went above and beyond the call. but I certainly wouldn't want someone just browsing to think otherwise! if I could only find that damn edit button. as soon as I find it, I'll add to the title

this sure is a funny thread. as per a suggestion, I asked the moderator to add to the title (as per the same suggestion) but it was good!

but it somehow was changed to a title that totally altered the meaning of the post. wow. this sure has gotten confusing!

Hey now, it wasn't me who asked for the title change in the first place. :p

I'm just being pedantic.

even odder is that the moderator I emailed to add "but it is all good" to the title never changed it! it got changed by someone else to "delorean vendors are awesome" which obviously made it even more confusing since my first line was "sort of."

wow. next time I'll just say "hey rob, nice job." my feeble attempt at humor sure complicated things and ended up causing my thread title to by mysteriously changed!

I bet that wouldn't have happened over on DMCToday...
