what started out as a mode switch repair turned into a full center console removal so I could replace the headlight switch, put in a din head unit, and install dave M's led AC panel. All went shockingly well except for the 2 little white round spacers that came out of somewhere when I took out the console and radio bracket. I've attached a photo. Anybody know where they are from?28788

they are about 1" tall.

I also have a little fuel smell coming up from the access hole by the fuel accumulator. Putting that on a lift tomorrow to investigate..

thanks

They were on the radio shafts to space it back into the opening. If you replaced the radio you don't need them, put them on the shafts under the rdio knobs for storage.

Darn. I am missing those. PO had probably the same experience and threw them away. But the CRAIG can do without for now. Any reason not to put them in?

They are an alternative to having nuts on the inside and the outside of the panel. The spacers are easier for an assembly line as there is nothing to adjust.

I have some decent reference pics from when I replaced my accumulator lines recently, I'll put 'em up if you find you want something for comparison.

Yep, I have nuts on the in and outside. I just position them by my own gut feeling. It worked out so far. Thanks for the remark!
