Just throwing it out there that the left hand motor assembly may be fine and the control switch on the door panel may be the problem. Have you tried applying 12V directly to the motor(s) or bypassing the switch by manually connecting the various pins of the harness at the control switch?

The directional part of the window switch that control the up/down side/side movement seem to have a somewhat high failure rate but it sounds like in your case it may be the toggle that controls if you are adjusting the left hand or right hand mirror.

-If the RH side mirror functions fine (can go up/down and side/side) then you don't have an issue with the directional switch.

-If only one of the up/down or side/side functions works on the LH mirror but both up/down and side/side work on the RH mirror then it's probably a bad LH side motor.

-If both the up/down side/side functions don't work on the LH side but both of those functions work on the RH side then it's probably bad Left/Right toggle switch. To confirm it's the switch and not that both motors in the LH mirror have failed you'd have to run 12V directly to each motor to verify they are in fact dead.

But, he's right too, Brent. Try swapping the switches on the center console to confirm it isn't a switch problem. Usually cars that have sat in unheated spaces can get some corrosion on electrical contacts.

I suspect you have an afternoon ahead of you "cleaning your grounds" as a few other electrical gremlins will appear.

But, he's right too, Brent. Try swapping the switches on the center console to confirm it isn't a switch problem. Usually cars that have sat in unheated spaces can get some corrosion on electrical contacts.

I suspect you have an afternoon ahead of you "cleaning your grounds" as a few other electrical gremlins will appear.

I switched the switches in the center console and both switches control the passenger side. I took off the door panel and tested directly at the motor and recieved 12v on both leads depending on which way the switch was pressed. So, switches are good and correct 12v signals from switch to motor. Bad motor......

fwiw it's unusual that the motor itself goes bad, it's normally the plastic guide that the wormgear runs in that breaks. I think, but am not 100% sure, that the motors themselves are the same L to R (so yellow's unit might work), but at this point most people opt to change the whole assembly to get the future security of the metal guide.
