I am getting my headliners replaced, so I removed the inner door seals and ordered replacements. Am I able to leave them out to drive the car for install or is this ill advised? I have the old ones but I took off all the little red clips and I dont want to install the new seals just to have the shop take them off.

No problem other than rattling and an insane amount of wind noise. And water if it happens to be raining.

Actually the guy installing the headliners needs to know where the seals will be as they tend to hold the headliners in while the glue sets, and he needs to know how far to trim the material back out of the rain gutter.

Putting old one in won't take long, just don't glue anything.

Am I supposed to glue in the new ones?

Not to the car, just glue the ends together. More for appearance than function.

Oh, ok. I see there is a baggie full of clamps. Use or not use?

Optional. They go where the vinyl is, NOT the headliner.
