Refinishing Dust Shields

Has anyone powder coated their dust shields? I have the tools to powder coat the dust shields or to paint them. Any reason to not do this and instead have them zinc plated again?

I have had it done. Looks nice.

We plate them now because we can.

I zinc plated mine but wished I had powdercoated them. When i re-do them it will be in a gloss black. Gloss cleans up nice.

Zinc plating is more to retain the factory look than anything. Its a piece of steel with no critical surfaces, so apply whatever you want to it to prevent rust.
