Since I am doing a bunch of rerouting for the new exhaust and the supercharger project, I'm replacing some of the engine compartment aluminum cooling tubes with modern flexible (corrugated) rubber hoses. I need to double check on the "flow direction" of our systems.

Am I correct that the top of the water pump is the "hot" or "pressure" side and this flows to the otterstat and then to the driver's side top of the radiator? The low side of the radiator then returns, gets the overflow tank connected to it and goes to the lower water pump connection. Do I have that right?

Thanks.

Yes that is correct.

I don't like using that corrugated hose. It is handy to use especially when you have to make bends but it causes very turbulent flow inside. Better to use mandrel-bent pipe as much as you can, making as few connections as possible. A muffler shop can bend up pipe for you if you know what you need. Also have them "bead" the ends so the hoses don't slip off.

x2. Corrugated hose is kind of a quick and dirty way of rerouting hose.
