I only know of the side stripe kit from Special T Auto but I thought someone still made a textured version? One of mine is having an issue so I am looking to replace the entire set.

You could try creating your own stencil and paint on your own:

You know what, I might just give that a try!

I could make a decal set of adhesive vinyl.

Do you have textured vinyl though? I haven't checked with my local shops yet either.

The same as the one in my signature, the common wide black. Although if I'm replacing the entire kit I might change colors.

SpongeBob or billybob what's his name, that makes bttf replicas used to make textured stripes.

I sent Videobob a message a few weeks back on another issue but haven't heard back from him so I figured that's a dead end.

Yeah, VideoBob told me he doesn't do them anymore.
There is a NOS set on eBay at this time:

Thanks for the info but I'm not going for concours and that price is a bit out there. I also see that it looks like Ed Bernstein's ebay account (DeLorean One).

Thanks for the link but no luck there. Their inventory is very small and I didn't see stripes. I'm thinking about changing them up but will have to play with some ideas in MS Paint.
I can confirm VideoBob doesn't make them anymore. His Non-BTTF store is here:

They used to be listed, but no longer are. Bummer, I wanted a set for myself too. :(
Anyone else have any replicas ready to order???

I'm not sure if that one black piece showing in the box is part of the stripe, but it's been folded hard and the corner seems to be worn through. I wonder if that's just the instruction sheet or a glossy flyer that's been folded?

Thanks for the suggestion! I just got a couple ideas by looking at his page and I'm making contact with a decal company to see what they say.

Hey James
...also the side stripe proposal from ItalDesign showed on DeLoreanarchive.com is quite impressive.
Would be awesome to see the whole ItalDesign portfolio with all the proposals :nana2:
Maybe someone knows the owner of the DeLoreanarchive (Matt Somner???) ?

the black piece is the "application instructions" booklet

I'm curious about the other designs but that one is way too dated for my tastes. If it was a 911 Carrera maybe, but not a D.

Strange how the "D" is part of the stripes so it sorta looks like 'eLorean'

I was thinking the same... but this would be quite easy to change... would be really great the rest of the portfolio.
