DeLorean filters and screens
I thought it might be useful to see all of the filters or screens listed in one place with some links and information about them.
Please feel free to add your input or point out if mistakes were made.
Engine oil filter, p/n 102114B
http://store.delorean.com/p-6225-oil-filter.aspx
Recommended to be replaced with each oil change.
DMCH includes the oil pan drain plug sealing washer with their oil filters. This seal, often referred to as a “copper crush washer”, can be bought individually as well.
Sealing washer, p/n 102101
http://store.delorean.com/p-6092-sealing-washer.aspx
Sealing washers can be reused if necessary, however better recommended to be replaced with a new one once they are removed for maintenance.
The original drain plug will often require a special tool/adapter to remove it.
Drain plug socket, p/n 111104
http://store.delorean.com/p-9097-drain-plug-socket.aspx
Note about the drain plug socket tool: it is the correct size for the engine oil pan drain plug, the automatic transmission fluid pan drain plug, both the fill and drain plugs for the final drive (gear oil), and the two engine coolant drain plugs.
Note about the sealing washer: p/n 102101 is also the same sealing washer used for all six drain plug locations mentioned above for the drain plug socket tool.
Engine air inlet system filter. Air filter element, p/n 102575
http://store.delorean.com/p-6353-air-filter-element.aspx
Owner’s manual recommends replacing air filter with each oil change.
Fuel filter, p/n 100523
http://store.delorean.com/p-6536-fuel-filter.aspx
No specific recommendation for replacement frequency in owner’s manual for fuel filter.
Automatic transmission fluid filter. Filter, p/n 103702. NLA
http://store.delorean.com/p-8825-filter.aspx
ATF filter is no longer available and may be cleaned according to instructions requiring disassembly only.
Fuel pump pick-up screen. Screen-fuel pump, p/n 101643
http://store.delorean.com/p-6586-screen-fuel-pump.aspx
Not normally replaced, simply ensure it is clean.
Oil filler screen, p/n 102420
http://store.delorean.com/p-6360-oil-filler-screen.aspx
Not normally replaced, simply ensure it is in place and clear.

Carbon canister, p/n 101109
http://store.delorean.com/p-6675-carbon-canister.aspx
Not normally replaced; used for trapping excess fuel fumes.
Our cars do not have a cabin air filter. Not unless you are considering pine needles and leaves as a filter.
