Oh, yeah, sorry, forgot that. Thanks for adding. Mine is, however, slightly different. I guess that they might check with the digits after the "@" on which codes have already been used.

Here is mine, in case it works: NOROADS@CCGSW

I'll gladly share mine, although the email mentioned it's a one-time use: NOROADS@BGP2B.

(One of the super-nerds here should be able to make a code-generator from this info. )

I got two -- one for my daily driver, one for my DeLorean. Will post pictures when it arrives in a couple days. One of the many perks of living here -- once shipped, UPS Ground takes one business day to arrive, since their warehouse is in Columbus, OH (which they posted about on their blog with Portal music as the background -- high tech place!).

And FYI: those codes correspond to your customer ID, so they're not something that can be randomly generated. :)

Hah, yeah, it's like they're giving the rest of the world the finger. I can understand them not sending foodstuffs, etc. but it's a flippin' phone charger!

Ummm... why the hell not??Contact customer service and ask. Usually has to do with customs, although they are often open to exceptions. Never hurts to find out why -- may just be a typo or something ;)

Most likely because it really IS a flux capacitor, and we're not allowed to send US technology outside the US. Remember the original Apple PowerMac commercials??

Poor George is stuck in that area of Alabama that's way behind in infrastructure. My former company had a site out there with 2 T1s. We never got internet speed complaints and I never knew why until I found out that everyone around the area was still using 56k. Our 3 megs on site must have been blazing fast.

I did get an email with the discount code. Got right up to paying and .........

"Sorry, but you can't finish placing your order until you remove the restricted items from your cart. As a reminder, those items are:

Flux Capacitor USB Car Charger"

It even calculated shipping and everything till the very end. Must be exclusive to US & Canada, limited numbers so you guys don't crack it if it sells out.

Yep. 1,600 tonnes worth. Regulators said it was good to go, but the local coffee shop crowd and neighbors said no. So it never left the front gate. You can't fix stupid unfortunately and there are lots of those out and about.

what a load of bull crap. the charger was probably made in China anyway, so import clearly wasn't an issue. i'll order mine straight from dx.com or gadgets.eu in a few months thanks.

My thoughts exactly! And I will make up some story that this is the enhanced version, not the 80s oine where you have to change the whole car. It is a FLux Capacitor connected to a relay system and a fusion battery behind the passenger seat that will run the time displacement field through the upper windshield frame and the grille emitter under the bumper. :hihi2:
Doc Brown still had to work with 80s components and this is the new deal from the future. Ecofriendly Timetravel made possible by ThinkGeek 2085.

And well done on giving your car for it. Looking great!

just got back from picking mine up at TG HQ during lunch. crappy cell phone pics included!
3094330944309453094630947

the device is a decent size. when orientated as i have it, it shouldn't affect shifting between 4th and 5th for us manual guys. the lights are amazingly bright and "flux" very nicely.

It's just an elbow joint so the device can swivel up and down. To turn it left or right, just turn the whole thing in the outlet. It fits quite snugly in the delorean's outlet and doesn't jiggle.

Definitely worth it. was able to have the auto in "D" with zero issues. Looks fricking outstanding.

Just out of stock temporarily -- generally Thinkgeek exclusives like this last for years until demand is basically gone. Not the case here, just click the "Notify Me" button and they'll send you an email when it's back in stock ;)

For those living overseas, I got a message back from ThinkGeek, why they can't be bought and shipped overseas.

"Most likely, the Flux Capacitor USB Car Charger is not able to be shipped due to international licensing restrictions. If you know someone in a country we do ship to who can ship to you, you can do that as well. Best of luck!"

I have a $10 off $50 coupon code I got with my Think Geek order, you're welcome to it.....would help bring your cost back down a bit if you need to ship a few chargers twice.

That's what mail forwarders like shipito are fantastic for - providing a US address and ultimately providing far cheaper and far quickly shipping than most other options anyway.
