DMC Logo on Black Stripes Tip

Perhaps this is already known, but as I looked at my faded DMC logos on the black stripes on my D, I was trying to determine how to restore them without having to replace the complete stripes. As I was replacing many of the labels on the car with the label kit from DMCH, I found that the air cleaner DMC logo is the same size as the stripe logos. I ordered two more, cut them to size and placed over the old faded ones. They look great and you cannot tell that they are not a part of the original stripes. I am assuming that the air filter label was designed to take a beating in the engine compartment, so am hoping these will take the wear and tear of being exposed to the elements.

Nice thinking on the air box decals... I think I remember reading about someone else doing this a long time ago. Great minds think alike!

Excellent, I have sat and thought about this problem as well. I am only missing one on the drivers side. This is far more simple than anything that came to mind during my head scratching -P
