My wipers are misbehaving.
Here's what they do:
1. No matter what, when power is cut via the stalk with ignition ON, they stop immediately before returning to baseline/rest position.
2. LOW and HIGH both work, BUT:
• If i move the stalk from OFF to LOW back to OFF ONCE - the wipers continue indefinitely
• If i repeat the move from OFF to LOW back to OFF a SECOND time - they stop (albeit, anywhere they want)
3. Intermittent works only if the stalk is held down and the wipers stop as soon as it is released
What I've tried:
1. I've bypassed the controller module (plug the plugs into themselves)
2. checked the inline inductor for "park" power after the stalk is turned off (Dave S's suggestion) and seems to be properly connected unless IT itself has failed.
Toby mentioned there is a micro switch in the motor that kills power only after baseline/rest is attained, but i don't understand how that micro switch could be at fault given the behaviour above with LOW.
