Argh. I'm sooo angry with myself. Was driving on my way to work, but was on a conf call so didn't see this D driving past on the other side of the road until he was past me! He honked and waved and everything, and I felt like the biggest a-hole for not noticing. :banghead: If it was anybody here (on Doheny/Beverly in BH), my apologies! The last thing I expect to see driving to work is another DeLorean!!

Have to keep my eyes peeled more I guess...

It's weird when you see another on the road for the first time when you're driving your own!

When I see another DeLorean, I still react like : "holy shit....a DeLorean!" -Even while I'm driving mine. :jawdrop:

(Don't anyone here lie....you know you do it too...LOL!)

Back in May I was out for a walk with the missus and heard a very distinctive exhaust note. Turned to the wife and said "That's a DeLorean!", and right as rain one zoomed past as I turned around to look. It felt good not only to recognize it before seeing it, but also be on the other side of things for once and being the excited person waving at a DeLorean rather than the driver :D

I was driving in this morning and passed an Ecto-1 (Ghostbusters) car going the other way. No chance to be the camera geek, it was on a 50 mph road and I wasn't going to be one of those people who turns around and chases it with a phone!

Coming back from Houstons open house in '05 going north on I-35 to the twin cities, I missed seeing a Delorean southbound.
You can be sure he saw me. Suddenly a familiar shape appeared beside me with a thumbs up. He motioned me to pullover at the next
offramp. It was a local fellow from Iowa stunned to see a wild DeLorean. He had seen me and sped up to a turnoff, got going north
at great speed for twelve miles to catch up. We must have chatted for a half an hour. His car looked pretty rough but ran well.
I wish I had taken the time to get all his info and direct him to this site. I must have been really spaced out to miss him.

The other "small DeLorean world" thing that happened this week was coming down to my car after work to find a business card with a message from a fellow DeLorean owner in my building! He's had his car for a couple years now, but never drives it to work so I hadn't ever seen it before. About 6000 DeLorean owners out there and two of them in the same office building... that has to be pretty rare (except of course at the DMC offices :D).

I forgot to tell you it looked like there was some sort of big car show setting up in Schaumburg at the convention center today, I bet he was headed there...

I saw a wild DeLorean right near my house about a month ago while driving mine. We both waved. Apparently it's s guy who loves the car and drives it a lot, but is perfectly content not being active in the community.

On one of the Fall Foliage Tours on Long Island we had a tour of the Brookhaven Particle Accelerator. We saw someone working there HAS A DELOREAN and drives it to work every day, parks in the parking lot, and did not know about our tour! During the tour we met up with him. He was as surprised to see us and we were to find him!

I'm pretty sure that was me. I always am super excited when I see another Delorean on the road here in LA. It's my daily driver and I just had a stage 2 engine upgrade with DPI spec 2 exhaust. Loving it!!

The internet is a great thing... Sorry I didn't see ya! I work right there so if you're ever in the area, would love to see your car... mine is my daily driver too, and would love to pick your brain about any things I should make sure I have as a DD. I've got Stage 2 on my TO DO list for sure. You're in Burbank... you ever go to Bob's Big Boy on fri nights?

I am not in your area all that often. Had to be there for a meeting that day. Usually I'm at Universal Studios where I work for NBC. Yes I go to Bob's big boy quite regularly. I was actually there for a second this past Friday and I will be there again next Friday. ;) Hope to see you there sometime!

I also live in LA and work in Burbank. But I barely just bought my car a week ago and haven't driven it to work yet. There's another D owner who works in the building next door, and I believe he's also on the forums.

Great. The more the merrier. Feel free to PM your info too so I can include you next time the LAers get together.
