In case anyone is interested in doing a cool engine swap using an Acura NSX engine, check out this craigslist ad. A DeLorean that red lines at 8K RPM would be pretty bad ass.

I don't think an Acura engine could ever fit into a Delorean!

Seems to me someone here's drivetrain might bolt right up to that engine...

Oh man... dream of dreams! Since that was the other car I was debating instead of the DeLorean, I would be VERY curious if this were possible.

8,000 RPM...... and precisely zero torque.

Already been done actually, but with a TL engine, not an NSX engine. VTEC in a DMC is pretty cool. Great engine swap.

Not sure I understand what you mean? Look at the torque and HP numbers in this graph below.

LOL, I'm so out to lunch. Didn't even see that in your signature. Once again, hats off to you on that swap. Great meeting you at DCS.

210 pound feet isn't very much to begin with, and it comes on very high in the rev range.
You really have to wring the crap out of an engine with a torque like that to get moving. Great for track cars where you're spending most of the time high in the rev range, but for a street car, not good.

Especially a street car with a not-very-low first gear (assuming stock trans).
