Upgraded Input Shaft Coupler

I am rebuilding my transmission this winter, and in the process building it up to handle more power.

So, I am looking for one of Toby's upgraded input shaft couplers. Perhaps someone bought one back when they were available and never got around to installing it? Who knows, I figured I would ask.

It is my understanding that DPI is making a similar product. I contacted Josh B but he can't seem to get back to me.

I too am interested in what DPI was working on transmission wise, to work with the twin turbo. Any chance you can shed some light on it Josh B?

I am also looking to buy one. I would also be willing to pay half in advance if someone is ready to make another batch. A one piece shaft would also be something I would consider if it could be made in the US as the exhange rate for euro is too high for a part thats already pricey.

Really no new news.

I've been having these made as one off units for the back log of turbo builds. I changed the piece to make it proprietary and it requires the front shaft section as well that fits into the upgraded pilot bearing. After the next car is done and I use up the last performance stock splined clutch I am changing the flywheel end of the input shaft as well requiring the coupler kit to come with a clutch assembly.

Just got of the phone with Toby. He is currently pursuing the fabrication of new couplers. They would be a similar design as before, the coupler and roll pin. Ill let him chime in if he sees this thread. But its looking promising for availability of a coupler for a winter transmission rebuild!

Bumping this thread. If anyone has one of Toby's couplers sitting around and want to sell I will take it off your hands. Really hoping to get my car going by June and this is the last piece I need!

As they are sold from the UK,you'd be looking for it in GBP, not Euros.

Bumping one last time before going a different route. Obtaining this part really has been the most difficult portion of this project. The car may sit this summer out if I cannot find one...
