So yeah, if you have a Mil... then you probably have a big living room or a nice deco for the bottom of the swimming pool

I recall seeing the Rick's Restoration show. Although they did "improve" many of the parts, this also means the new parts are not original.

I know they were arguing about a restoration price of between $30K and $60K, for parts and labor, but the "vehicle" was acquired in the
Bahamas (in a junk yard) for practically nothing (plus shipping back to the U.S. mainland, then to the desert).

As the story goes, this was to be the "center piece" in a 007 museum display. Guess someone wants to make a bunch of money on it instead.

All they started with was a broken up fiberglass body left over from when they made the movie. As a matter of fact there were 8 cars (or pieces of cars) used in the movie for different scenes and shots. This one on E-bay is so far from what was original it is hard to say what it is except maybe a hand built recreation of what Rick "thinks" it should be. The working "wet" submersible sold for a LOT less and was much more complete. Elon Musk bought that one.

They don't even read their ad.... It is a prop, does not run or drive... but in their ad "Come to Vegas to party and drive home an incredible vehicle that is quite a lot of class, fun and quality for the money !"

That would be hard to do.....

Just like the ad for the one "only missing the motor and transmission". They forgot to add no frame, suspension, interior, electrical or any other system. You just have to read and reread those ads closely and be very skeptical especially if you can't go to see it in person. BTW, I would NEVER buy ANY car that was done on any of those reality shows. The work is SO bad. But that doesn't matter for the show, they don't care what happens to the car when the show is over, to them the car has no value anyway. Remember the Delorean hovercraft? What a POS.

I wouldn't even call it a car. More of a movie prop that's not original. Should had left it alone and sold it as is.

They are just trying to profit on it by that inflated price.

I seen this car in the flesh at the London Film Museum located near Covent Garden. They have an exhibition on at the minute called Bond in Motion with a lot of screen used vehicles from various Bond movies.

The Exhibition is on until March 2015.

Soes it say on a sign "Don't scratch the paint job. This car is not made out of gold!"?

I didn't read anything on the information stand about the vehicle being made from gold.

The Silver Rolls Royce was used in A View to a Kill, and was Cubby Broccoli's (James Bond Film Producer) personal car.

The aeroplane in my picture was attached to a pole and driven along by a car during the filming of scenes in Octopussy, namely the hangar scene where the plane is flying through just before the missile blows up the hangar.

The Aston Martin that was used in one of the 007 movies was stolen and no one knows where it is. It is one of the subjects in Brad Meltzer's new series on the History channel about missing history. I remember seeing that car at the 1967 World's Fair in NYC. It has the rotating license plates, ejection seat, machine guns, oil spray, and the tire rippers. That prop really worked, it was before they had computers to do all of the special effects.

For a million bucks that sure is a crappy ad. I almost get the feeling it's a scam.

Common as muck, these things are, apparently.

There was one in Atlanta a couple of weeks ago at Caffeine & Exotics

or a "FLOTUS", though why it has an Italian number plate is beyond me
