I had to tie my wires away from the temp control mechanism to keep them from jamming in the exposed gears. Someone should build a box to cover that mechanism so wires or vacuum tubes don't get cut.
It's not hard to tie the wires away with the console off but I know a lot of work gets done just reaching around the back.
