An automatic DMC-12 with ~200 miles will be auctioned as one of 130 cars out of Sam Pack's collection in Texas on Sat., 15-Nov.

As shown in the link Lot #105 is listed as ranging from $35-50K without reserve. The description says it's largely original with newly-replaced seating surfaces not shown in the listing photos. No comments about condition here.

Not sure what RM Auctions thinks the body panels are really made of....."silver"? Oh, well.

"...The body and unique silver panels have remained largely free of any sort of dents or damage and still have the appropriate panel gap alignment.

A DeLorean is always a very popular attraction at any museum or automotive event, and this example will continue to excite future generations. This car is one of the finest of its kind, and it would be a prime acquisition for any collection. "

Looks like its straight OE and unaltered. Might be worth $25K just because of the miles. Not sure how (or if) they are gonna get $35-40K for that thing.

Looks to me like 200 of the roughest miles ever put on a car. :thinkin:

Appears the car sold for $41,250.

Ol' Sam didn't care much for Dodge it seems. Saw only one a Fury and one Imperial, other than that, no Chrysler products.

+1

Right eyebrow, nicked/scuffed front fascia, worn left trim panel armrest, missing door straps and shift lever logo, voltmeter goofy, torn door seal.

All fixable toward maybe a 90-point car if the frame, etc. are all primo - the condition of the valve cover and seats suggest it saw rain/outdoor storage for some period of time. Seats were renewed post-photo session. Dash seems OK.

Is the winning bidder here among us?

565 miles on the trip odometer with a broken reset shaft, I don't think the 203 miles on the odometer are original.

I'm wondering what happened to the black part around the driver's side fixed glass.

Good catch on both observations.

565 miles on the trip odometer with a broken reset shaft, I don't think the 203 miles on the odometer are original.

I'm wondering what happened to the black part around the driver's side fixed glass.

The driver door glass seal looks like it got a lot of sun, a lot of abrasion and/or was just messed up by the factory. The sunburn theory would fit with the driver backrest leather/stitching condition.

About the odometer vs the trip meter readings. That's weird. Since the trip meter is driven by the same system that drives the odometer how can a car have 565 on the trip meter and only 203 on the odometer? If the car left the factory with both meters at 000 then the trip meter should read <204 miles now.

How could that happen?

a. The trip meter had been partially reset to some number between 363 miles and 565 miles instead of 000 miles at some point
b. The car actually has 100,203 miles on it. Or 200,203 miles on it or....

Any other mathematical/mechanical possibilities for the odo-trip meter numbers?
