I need to either recover or replace my steering wheel. I know that Hervey offers recovered steering wheels, Delorean.com lists steering wheels, I saw a post about the Momo steering wheel and really like it but delorean.com no longer provides it on the website.

So, what is Hervey's recovery ones like?
Is there a way to get my current steering wheel recovered and look like the original?
Is it possible to get the Momo steering wheel with the DMC logo as seen in some pics I've seen?
Am I missing other options?

I'm pretty sure if you call DMC-CA they can help you out will the momo wheel, which is what I want to get as well. However, if you wait a bit and want to stay stock I will be selling mine once I upgrade. If you do call CA, will you let me know what they are charging for the momo and adapter?

Call Dave at DMC-Midwest. He probably has both items in stock.

Looks like we have one fake Momo and a bunch of the adapters. Sold out the real ones, not sure we'll re-stock, but you can still usually find either on eBay. At the moment I only see the "real" ones.

What is the cost for the adapter and the fake momo? Can you post a pic of the fake? What's the big difference between the real an the fake?

Hey Dave!

How much is the knock off momo and adapter? Will the steering wheel come with the dmc logo in the middle?

The adapter is $189.95. Comes with the screws to attach the wheel.
The center logo is milled from aluminum and is $25 alone (if you buy the wheel somewhere else).
I need to verify the price on the knockoff wheel and see if it's still available. I've been out for a while and don't know if it's already sold but not shipped yet. It's the last one for the time being.

Here are some photos.

You mentioned adapter upgrades before. Is there any reduction in the cost of the newer adapter if you're swapping out an old one?

At this point it's pretty nominal as we've collected a few. Call for info.

The difference between the "real" and "fake" wheels is visually very subtle, but there is a difference in material quality. If the car is outdoors in heat a lot I'd probably try to swing the "real" version.

Nick,

You can buy nice 1/2" Black anodized MOMO wheel pattern adapter spacers off ebay for about $25. I installed one earlier this year on my MOMO wheel The extra 1/2" is perfect in conjuction with the shorter DMCH adapter. Plenty of room for my fat fingers and the forward position stalk switch is not not as far away as it used to be. My wheel spacing is only 1/2" less the OE wheel. Before it was 1" less and was I always knocking the LH stalk switch when turning the wheel.

This is the one I bought.

To be different, if you had a grey interior, this would be a really nice option.

Or go full-retard with this one.
