Hot Start problem

I`ve read some of you talking about a hot start problem due to something wrong with the fuel accumalator.What are the symptoms? I have a hot start problem,but,I think mine is starter related as after driving for a while,I`ll stop for a few minutes and get back in the car and the starter drags.Like a weak battery,the starter spins slowly,then picks up enough to start the car.Iit has yet to strand me and I`m thinking of going the Eagle premier starter route.Ideas?6864.

This is not the classic hard hot restart caused by the fuel accumulator. In that scenario the motor will crank and crank but not start. The speed of the cranking motor is not the problem as it is in yours. Have the battery load-tested if it is not over 5 years old. If 5 or older just replace it. Clean and tighten all of the "big" connections on the battery, frame, starter, and alternator. If you are still having problems the starter may be bad.

If that is the only symptom it has, double check your timing (warm engine).
It's a classic symptom for high timing. (If it also pings when you put a heavy load on the engine, you can about bet on it...)
