I am looking for a way to clean the stainless. I am not looking for a mirror finish or re-graining but simply a way to shine up the stainless. My car's surfaces are pretty dull, especially in low-light condition and I've had no luck with DMCH's Stainless Shampoo. So does anyone know a way to buff it (or equiv)?

2 words: Barkeeper's Friend
Powder version works really well. You can find it with cleaning supplies at many stores.

This is my secret. I last used it years ago and still get questioned by other DeLorean owners as to why my stainless looks so good.
Use it with terry cloth towels and go in a circular motion and buff with a clean cloth. Just be careful not to get it on the black rubstrip or it will stain it.

The best way is to just go over the whole car lightly with a blending pad. It will brighten up the S/S and take out any minor surface scratches but over time it will dull down.

I have got to get this on my to do list. This may be one of my 2015 DeLorean resolutions.

I use Bar Keepers Friend once a year, usually before the Celebration Car Show. Then I use SS Glo to make it shine.

WD-40 works great! Cuts down on fingerprints and repels water. Really nice shine.

Mothers is the shit. Its onlylike 8 bucks for a big can of it and thats MORE than enough to do your whole D. I use lint free cloths which are a very fine micro fiber i get from work that i use on my radar cabinets;p

Very cool, and makes sense. Did you know... that the WD in its name stands for "Water Displacement", and the 40 indicates that the inventors at the Rocket Chemical Company got the formula right on the 40th attempt.
Besides loosening rust, it's my go-to product for removing adhesive from labels on most materials. I classify it as more of a cleaner than a (long term) lubricant.

I know it's a little weird. I would've never thought to use it until I watched a show on YouTube where they restored a right hand drive delo, great show. The link is on here somewhere. I sprayed it down and cleaned with a microfiber cloth along the grain and it was night and day. Really really good. Gotta give it a shot.

Did it attract dust, dirt and bugs after that? Did the shine evaporate like SS Glow can do?

No, it is really long lasting. Dust blows right off and the shine is just as good as when I first put it on. Just look for a can that has the nozzle that flips down and turns into a spray. Perfect.
