I'm trying to locate the metal retaining clip for the 3 wire plug on the idle/low speed regulator.

Check your local auto parts store. They usually will stock replacement 2, 3, & 4 wire BOSCH connectors to repair damaged plugs. You could just buy one and pull the clip of of it to use.

Two wire EV1 style plugs are typically available through your favorite auto parts store. The three and terminal ones are a bit harder to come by locally.
