Fascinating walkthrough (or at least I think so) on a Lambo Countach, showing some remarkable similarities to our cars (spare wheel issues, window openings etc)

Impressive video. One of my favorite Lamborghini as a kid too. I too remember looking at the posters on the wall and thought just impossible. Today, I'd have to sell my home for one. LOL

@ 27:10 does he say, "[The engine sound] It scares children"?!!!? lol, as well, @27:50 what impressive handling at 28:, Wow!

Anyone notice the digital console clock (@ 10 minutes)??? Looks familiar... ;)

thx for sharing Dangermouse, that was some good video minutes spent! ~skill

Great video and yes, you can see a lot of similarities to other exotic and custom cars. One thing VERY different between the Countach and a Delorean, the Delorean is a LOT less expensive to own and maintain besides not having the performance.

Had same poster on wall, inspired me to make a spoiler for my DeLorean.

Very cool walk through of another of the 80's icons. I was also awestruck at the poster, but then when I saw one in person (inside a glass cased trailer at an Alpine stereo store), I was disappointed at the lack of fit and finish for such a wildly expensive exotic. But, I had my faith restored in these cars when I got a chance to drive 2 Lambos and a Ferrari a couple years back.... a 631 hp V12 ( Murcielago ) makes up for all the flaws. I was reminded of this when the host cracked open the engine cover revealing that sweet engine, and at 27:50 when he finally opened it up.
:mechbull:

Thanks for posting!

The packaging of the front trunk area makes our car's look very finished. You'd think they would have trimmed it out a little :)

Did he say people of his generation worshipped the car when they were young? How can this be ? I thought the countach came into existence in the 70s, and entered the collective awareness as a super car in the 80s.

Cool! I remember the wing on the Countach being referred to at the time as a "Hyundai wing" because that option cost as much as a new Hyundai.:eek5:

Yes, very. One other observation that I had when I first viewed the car in this video is that to me the car looks like a kit car, and almost garish. To each his own, but I find that the DeLorean looks more timeless. I also felt much better about our toll windows in comparison to the Countach's where you could only pass your credit card through it.

Looooooooooooooove the Countach! :notworthy:

Harry is not the best host for videos, but he's honest and knows what he is talking about. Will watch it when I'm home.

If I was going to buy one of these, it's going to be a replica with a V8. Can't afford to maintain a real one (unless I win the lottery).

).

I have to say that I found him the perfect host for this particular video. It's clear that he knows the car intimately and has no rose-tinted specs as to some of it's short-comings

Man, ANOTHER iconic 80's car I've wanted ever since the eighties.
Listening to that baby accelerate made me have to go watch THIS.....
