Replacing Fixed Mast Fender Mount Antenna

The previous owner snapped the antenna off at the base (down inside the fender), and I'm trying to figure out how to replace it. Does the fender have to come off, or is it accessible from somewhere else? Didn't see anything in the trunk that would make it any easier.

The fender comes off. You do not have to remove it completely, just undo the rear portion and bend it a little, not so much as to damage it. The best option would be to abandon the fender antennae and install a power one in the rear, left pontoon. You can buy a blank cap to cover the hole in the fender or send the fender out to have it welded up.
