Wiring in 'valley' & Oil pressure sender, should it fit flush?

Just doing the final bits'n'bobs having installed the replacement volvo engine in my car and have a few q's.

1) should the oil pressure sender screw all the way in to the block and sit flush? Mine got tight with about 3mm of thread still showing and I didn't want to force it. (See pic)

2) can somone have a look at the photo below of the 'valley' and let me know if the green wire with the hoop on the end is just meant to be earthed to the block/intake manifold and also does the other green wire go to the temperature switch, and the two pin black plug to the 'Y' pipe.

I can answer #1. It should not screw all the way in, at least mine does not.

1. OK As is

2. The green wire with the hoop should go to the temp sensor at the back of the head. That temp sender should have a stud with a 4mm nut. It appears that someone has changed the sender to something incorrect. The one with the two wires goes to the low temp switch in the y-pipe. The plugs should make it obvious if nobody has changed anything.

Thanks Dave, a great help, just one final question, after I have moved the hoop to the temp sender and the double green wire to the 'Y' pipe that leaves me with a black with with spade clip (currently incorrectly attached to the Y' Pipe (see pic marked with ?) can you give me a steer on where this should go? full throttle enrichment?

Once I've got this bundle sorted I am pretty happy about the location of the remaining wires.
