Black is pretty sharp. That one was just for sale on eBay. Went for 18k. Guess they want to make some money.

Im interested in this car and contacted them.

I always said that in order for me to get back into a D it would have to be black...

I used to own 4920.

Because he is the all-seeing one, obviously.

I thought he'd picked it off the door cave painting, until Andy posted his link

Paint looks fantastic in the pictures

In the cars for sale ad there is a link where you can ask for a VIN.

I like the white letters on these tires.
Are they available somewhere?

That is one clean car. Weird thing going on with the way it sits but other than that, it's really nice

Not somewhere, somewhen - in about 1990.

This is a good looking car for sure. I remember seeing Wynne's black car back around 05 at DMCH. I really do like it in black.

Thanks for the link, looks like a better solution than paint.
Anyone already tried it?

I had a friend look at this car and I have decided to pass on it.

there is alot of surface rust on all the suspension

the price is too high.

the paint has blemishes in the front bumper, around the side vents, and on sharp edges, like top of rear bumper, the paint is wore away.

Love this quote on the the tredwearletters.com site

"P.S. Treadwear letters have been known to increase the horsepower level in your ride by as much as 28%, resulting in better E/Ts, more MPG and a more satisfying LOVE LIFE. What are you WAITING FOR!?"

Who's going to be the first to have DeLorean on their tyres...

Back o/t

Black DeLoreans look sweeeeeet.

Bummer. The rest of that car looks pretty sweet (with the exception of missing headliners in the doors). Is it bad? Hopefully it's repairable. :frown:

Dont know why its not on in the pictures, but it has all of the headliners. The main one will get replaced eventually as it is peeling. I have the day off tomorrow so Ill be going over it in a lot more detail. I plan on doing a lot of upgrades and mods on this car so itll get new suspension eventually. Right now I just wanted to be able to drive it and this was close, black and cheaper than most deloreans I found listed.

This may be an original dealer painted car. Look at the original Dealer. I believe John's brother owned this one.

MCE told me the original owner had it painted black in the late 80s to be different. i looked up the original owner and he doesnt seem to be related to john
