My dash is pretty sun burnt, but it is not cracked badly. Just over the speaker covers.

I was wondering if anyone ever tried using vinyl and fabric paint on the Dash. How did it look, and would you recommend it?

Did it hold up to the sun?

The stuff you use is called dye, not paint for the vinyl. It works well BUT, You should disassemble the part out so you can properly clean, prep, and dye it. Buy the prepping agent recommended by the manufacturer so you remove all traces of contamination and the vinyl is made ready for the dye. You will find you can't do "just" one piece. It will look so good all of the other parts will have to be done just so everything matches. You can also buy crack filler but any repair is temporary. DMCH sells a repo dash top or you can buy a dash cover.

Thank you for the information

I figured it was to good to be true kind of stuff.

What kind of Dye should i look for? Is it as simple as vinyl Dye?

I tried the rattle can vinyl paint on my dash years ago. Looked good for about a year and the color was great, but then the vinyl paint began to crack and lift off the surface even with careful prep.
