Has anyone here purchased John's Vinyl Seat Covers? Or any of John's seat covers?
I am just looking for input on quality of the material, the pattern, how it all came out. Were you happy? Any Suggestions?
I like the idea of his kit for Vinyl. Only 430 dollars.

I am pretty sure mine are vinyl but I have no idea where they came from, possibly John. They certainly look like those in the picture.

The PO had them installed in 2001 ($520 invoice total) and they look like new today. They are smooth finished, no creases or wrinkles

Well, having said all that, I went looking for photos and could only find this one taken when I just bought the car (hence the door support stick), and there is a faint pattern in the seat after all. !!

And parts of the stitching should have been done when the sewer was sober ;)

No, as I said above, I have no idea where they came from. I was just guessing that the list of suppliers of DeLorean seats in the 90s must have been fairly short, and thought that he would have been on it.

But as John just noted that he has only been making them for a couple of weeks, then I would say "definitely no".

Byrne H. did the resto and the invoice just says "custom seats", so it is maybe more likely that they were recovered locally (and hopefully not by Byrne or I have just offended him about the sewing - sorry Byrne)

I have a set of the leather ones. they went on very nicely and fit very well. They come out smooth, not with the wrinkles. So they aren't quite OEM looking but I prefer the smooth look of the stretched leather.

John offers the leather seat covers premounted. I purchased mine that way. In less than an hour I removed my old seats, moved the mounts to the new ones and installed them. They look great. Put my old seats back in the box and shipped them back to john.

Holy Cow!! How much did that cost in shipping?
