Rear Lft fender and Bumper/Fascia for Sale

I have a few parts from scrapped Delorean to sell.
Left rear fender
The rear bumper/fascia includes the Right & Left Tail Light without circuit board or other components.

(I am not a Delorean guy, so descriptions may not be exact. Also have a couple questions if anyone would like to answer: is there a market for the door torsions bars, they are still attached to frame,? or the radius arm for suspension? or the fiberglass body parts (frame related fiberglass body parts)?)

I will post on eBay soon, parts in Midwest just west of Chicago, prefer local (I was going to shoot myself trying to figure out how to remove the dam torsion bars, getting anything in a crate is too intellectually challenging for me)

Do not attempt to remove the torsion bars!!!! If you do not know what you are doing you could hurt the car or yourself.

The DeLorean Midwest Connection Club can also help with the correct, safe removal of the torsion bars and the sale
of parts off your scrapped DeLorean, especially parts that may be too large to ship easily (local pickup preferred).

The club has the correct tools and fixture to remove the torsion bars safely.

The frame looks pretty rough, fair bit-o-rust. but there are some good parts in great shape and others in .....bad shape. Wheels are all good (no dents, peeling paint or whatever covers the rims, but no damage) some stainless is perfect. front and rear suspension intact but rusty, hood has one dent, as you can see from photo - rear left panel is near perfect as in left door, right door dinged - more than a bit, front and rear bumper and related parts all look very good. I have listed the roof panel and steering wheel on eBay. the steering column is there? condition?, few other parts remain such as piece in front of roof panel, rocker panel and support, valence, louvres on qtr panels.

I have had the car for awhile, it was used by a local company as a tool to display their equipment (I am being vague to avoid disclosing the company name). car was already stripped of almost everything - rolling stainless shell was what the company was using as a display. all interior, electrical, trim, motor, trans, - removed. They were getting rid of the remaining - rolling stainless shell after they were done using it. I bought it. several years later I looked in garage and said, !*%$# time to get rid of that dam thing. So hear I am, figured some of the parts value by looking through sales and listings on eBay and though there doesn't seem to be a lot of stuff sold through the forums here, the posts and responses I have read are all professional and polite (clearly something you don't always see with forums and online transactions (some of the eBay correspondence I have already engaged in is enough to drive a sane person over the edge).

Interesting story. As I said, sounds like you have some stuff worth-while. I'd love to buy the drivers door from you but I'm afraid shipping would be problematic. I can't even imagine how that could be done. Nevertheless, you should have no trouble moving most of the parts if your fair with prices.

I remember this car well. If fact, I still have a lot of interior pieces from that car, and, IIRC, I still have the 5-speed transmission from that car.
I do not recall the name of the company, but I think it was a company that did 3-D laser measuring or something like that. It was a decade ago
or so that I bought most of the interior and the other "non-shell" related parts from the guy who disassembled it, prior to it being on display at
the company. It was a black interior, 5-speed. I still have the 5-speed transmission (serviced, with service tag still attached) as a spare.

The story about how I came across the car was the best part of this whole DeLorean saga. I'm not a car guy, they were looking to dump the shell they had and I lived withing 10 miles of the business and like a certified moron, I bought it.

Anyway, I will hold out on the door as long as possible in case we figure out some way to get it to.....Oregon is it. Someone overseas bought the left front panel and I am delivering it to NJ to have it shipped (his arrangements and his costs). My daughter is in school at UVA so at the end of the month I am doing a road trip to visit her and stop in NJ with the fender to have a freight company take it to the man in some far away location.

But, Oregon....don't know anyone who lives their and its not on my list of top ten places to see this year (or next, or the year after that......or %$#$@ any time in the near future). But, I don't need to sell the piece all that soon, so I will leave it in the garage (with the torsion bar that will never be removed from the frame) and piss my wife for a bit longer. the loss of revenue from not selling the piece is worth the joy of experiencing her wrath for awhile.
