I have an early morning flight this morning from San Francisco back to New Jersey, so rather than going to bed I walked the city for the night.
About a block and a half from the intersection of Taylor and Bush I spitted what could only be a DeLorean hiding under a cover. Closer inspection shows it is a time machine conversion, vin 5418 (took a quick peek under the cover). Anyone on here own it? Looks in nice shape!

It's pretty rude to pull up the cover on someone else's car without them being there. That's as bad as someone walking up and opening the door. As a BTTF DeLorean owner, that's why I can't leave it unattended in public even if the cover is on.
You would think a member of the DMC community would know better than that.

Hi Kane,
You're absolutely right - I guess I just didn't think at the time in my surprise at seeing the car. I can imagine it is tough to own a time machine and the attention it must attract. My apologies.
Regards,
John

It was a weather experiment....
I know you meant well, but it just shows that if a DMC owner doesn't think about what they're doing, there's no hope to expect the general public to know how to behave around a car like this. If this were my car and I found out someone was taking pictures in the middle of the night, lifting the cover, and broadcasting my VIN to the Internet, I would be incredibly pissed.
OP seems to have recognized what he did, but let this be a PSA for everyone else out there. Remember that you are an adult and adults respect the property of others.
