View Full Version : Electrical 40 amp circuit breaker

i am done installing everything on the relay update kit besides the 40 amp circuit breaker. reason being is, is because i have no idea where it is at . would someone point me in the right direction with possibly a picture because the tech manual doesnt show it unless im not looking in the right area..... thanks

ok i found it. the reason i couldnt find it was because there was not a circuit breaker there oddly enough, but the next question is, is which wire is the battery wire and which one is the auxillary wire? one is brown and black and the other is brown and orange

If you have the fused legs in place of the "fan fail" relay, then the 40 amp circuit breaker can go away.

https://www.facebook.com/#!/photo.php?fbid=10150402675008098&set=a.10150390131753098.439252.744158097&type=1&theater i got 2 pics on my facebook of what i did. and took a pic of the i think 25 amp circuit breaker (left) and then i put the 40 amp right beside of it because there were wires laying there so i assumed that was where it went, and fused legs.. are those the yellow wires with the fuses in the pic? so you are saying if have that then i dont need the 40 amp circuit breaker? im still really green with auto wiring



update, i was sent a copy of the instruction and realized that i put the circuit breakers on backwards. will be fixed tommorow

Yes, if you have the 2, 20 amp fuses in place of the "fan fail" the 40 amp circuit breaker is redundant, and could be removed (the 2 wires connected together)

The one you replaced looks like the right one for the fans, and should be a 40.

My car had a 35 in that slot, and a 25 for both the interior blower as well as another 25 for the power door locks. (both of those should also have been 30's) Both of those 25's I got rid of and replaced with 30 amp strip fuses & Buss blade fuse holders. No more CB's on my car.
