I am sure you have seen me selling these before, but I just got another batch made and have spent all of the last few evenings 'weeding' these stickers so I thought I best pop them up for sale again.

Have your decals worn off your centre console switches in your DeLorean? Then these are for you.

These superfine, replacement decals are precision cut from high quality self-adhesive white vinyl and designed to look OEM.

They are easy to install but in case you mess up you get a FREE second set, that's right you get two kits and free worldwide postage

Each kit comprises of:
4 x Window switch arrows
1 x Rear demister decal
1 x Rear fog light decal*
2 x Open padlocks & 2 x closed padlocks**
(you will receive 2 kits, i.e. double everything above)

Pricing Free worldwide Postage.
2 Kits on eBay $19.00
2 Kits via this forum $17.00 (saves me the eBay fees) just paypal $17 to [email protected]

33573
33572

* The majority of cars were obviously shipped to the USA when launched and did not require a rear fog light, however it is a legal requirement to have one in certain countries so the fog light decal is included.
** Ever have a newbie passenger start messing around with the door lock rocker switch in your DeLorean because they think it operate the windows? Apply these lock decals to the lock rocker switches and problem solved.

Many people on this forum have bought these in the past, perhaps someone will chime in, I am sure you can find some reviews if you search, all good to date!

If you prefer to buy via ebay the link is below:

Thanks

2 Kits via this forum $17.00 (saves me the eBay fees) just paypal $17 to [email protected] we need to do anything prior to sending you money (email, PM, etc.)? I was actually planning on hand-painting mine until I saw this thread. Vinyl will save me a lot of headaches!

I bought a set of these on Ebay sometime ago. I really love them. It gave me the opportunity to spray paint all my switches black, so they aren't all mismatch & discolored. Awesome product.

Great photo, I feel like I've sold more of these sets than there were DeLoreans made lol.

Do you mind if I use your photo? as it is far better than mine.

If you do order please email or PM me your delivery address.

I can be emailed here: [email protected]

Many thanks for the positive comments.

Has anyone installed the padlock decals? they only came about because my door looks didn't work and I got fed up with people pressing the door mounted rocker switch thinking it would wind down the window and then the door getting stuck half-locked.

James,

Do you have any advice on how to thoroughly clean the switch surface before using your decals? I thought that maybe there was a preferred way to allow for maximum adhesion of the decals. Thanks for any info.

With each set there is a letter with details of how to prep the surfaces and tips on installing them.

A little lighter fluid on a rag is the best way to remove any grease then you're good to go.

Just a steady hand required.

hi wanted to ask are these peel type stickers for switches of delorean or do you need to cut w/ sissors how long will sticky last approx through out years if they sit and lastly how close to identical of the various switches thanks for answering, regards

>>> ME <<<
Hi, these are peal off and stick, no cutting involved, just a steady hand to position them correctly.

how close to OEM? Well they're pretty close, and if you are installing them in a car where the decals have warn away you have nothing to compare them too anyway.

You need to gently rub off the old decals, very fine wet n dry or it won t look too sharp.

You can ask on dmctalk or Eutotec forums and for and independent review, I ve sold many, many sets over the years including many to well known DMC vendors in the states and europe.

How durable, well these are small stickers and potentially subject to a lot of contact. That said I ve had mine in my car for over 8 years, the same set and thry still look great.

you get two sets, I always sell them as pairs so it you don t have the steadiest of hands you can have another go lol.

Hi meed to reclairfy please answer if can specific to question thanks that way i understand fully based on my question1-is your sticker actually a sticky adhesive or is it stick with water base wher eit needs to get wet2- many times when there is old sticker worn it cannot be taken off without chemicals which leaves the black of the switch color worn trying to get off old sticker my question is this: If i want to lay your sticker carefully lined up directly over the top of my old worn sticker will your sticker match fully without looking like there is something underneath3- if you sticker is water base to stick and not real adhesive that is tricky as the sticker can cut in half trying to move and line it up correctly with switch ive have used water based stickers before and the break away real easy and cut on models etc.

is your adhesive or water base to stickawait reply thanks please answer these questions as i asked exactly so i understand your last set of answers where alittle aloof. thanks

>>> ME <<<
Sorry if my previous answers were unclear, I do tend to waffle a little :-)

1) Yes these are sticky when you peal them off the backing (you do not need water, but they are waterproof)
2) No they will be close but not prefect so for best results you will need to remove the old decal.

A member of the DMCTalk forum who purchased a set from me many years ago actually sprayed his switches with black plastic spray before installing these stickers, I used his photo on eBay.

3) n/a

Hope this is OK

Hi so i spoke within the club and ut is extremely tricky and there is no way to know for sure if switches will clean with discoloration trying to remove remainder of old sticker therefore if they do do not sell on ebay and you have interest in lowering price to i guess around $10 -12 to PA USA im ok otherwise i understand its tricky dilema with old switch or thanks anyway regards Bernie

>>> ME <<<
Hi,I have sold many hundreds of these sets over the past 8 years, mainly through the DMC Forums, not so much on eBay and given the time taken to weed them and post them out I am not considering lowering the price at this point.

I have 9 sets going out today alone all to the USA (infact 2 of which are going to owners in PA).If you want 100% original look you could always purchase some replacement switches from one of the DeLorean vendors? These stickers were only supposed to be a cheaper alternative.Sorry I can't be of further assistance

Is his last name Madoff or something?! Geez, that guy's about as bright as a blown-out headlight... Yeah, don't sell to him. I have a feeling he'll cause trouble somehow with some kind of "improper installation" type crap or leave negative feedback. Not worth the risk of you ask me.

Seriously, it's a frickin' vinyl decal, how hard can it be? :hmm:

Just tell him to stop being a bitch and hit the switches with Black SEM Color Coat before applying the decals. Problem solved.

He's just trying to get a lower price out of you. Screw him.

With all the spelling and grammatical errors I am going to assume he will ask you to send him the decals and $500 dollars through a Wells Fargo Money Order and he will send you $3000 dollars just for your troubles, but he will want you to pick him up at the airport. Or maybe he is legit? I don't know. Seems fishy. I thought your first answer was pretty clear...

Don't worry people, just as I thought I was about to get stiffed on a $19 transaction I get this email out of the blue.

Turns out I have a long lost Nigerian relative who has left me a trillion pounds, who knew! I just have so send a cheque for £500 to cover the legal fees, completely understandable, good trustworthy legal advice isn't free, and the money's in the bank.

And to think I was riding high of the back of last week's $60 lotto win!

No more weeding stickers for me, I'm hittin the big time!

Wish me luck....

You have a relative there too!?!?! We must be brothers... I am still waiting my inheritance to show up. So I just went ahead and bought a DeLorean knowing that it will be paid off anytime now.

Don't worry I'm not responding to his contact anymore, I just hadn't come across such an odd character before.

Remarkably I've sold many, many things online and generally been very lucky.

I have a set. If you're switches are working and you want to wait on replacing them, then go for it. It's a small price to pay and the results are good.

Are these still available? i only need the defroster one.
Can make one that is like the window switch ones but with a left door/right door logo setup for my door launch switch (using original window switch)?
If not perhaps i can just turn the arrows sideways to point to each door....hmmm....

They are here: http://www.deloreanclub.uk/delorean-switch-sticker-decal-kit.html - we're down to the last 3 sets/pairs. When I asked James for more a couple of months ago he'd ran out, so until he has some more made I'd guess we're the only place with them. Shipping isn't too pricey. They come as a full kit of 2 sets (1 to use, 1 spare).

I have had some more made now.

I just need a spare evening to 'weed' all the waste material out then I'll get some your way
