I remember seeing a while back a nice dash mod to switch out the dash panel with an electroluminescent version, which IIRC was offered by the Arizona DeLorean club, but it's not on their site. Does anyone know where to get this, is it still made and offered, or did they just not work out so well? Now that I have my DeLorean, I'd like to do some modern upgrades that still look stock.

Thanks,

Greg

Here is a link to their site:

Not sure if it forsale still or not. You can email and find out.I bought one years ago and have had no issues with it. Still works fine and I drive basically every day.
Some others have had some issues. Some others say it looks like anus.

If you end up getting one let me know. I have some tips for putting it on so you don't ruin it or get mad in the process.

Speedhut.com used to sell them. Try contacting them via email or phone.

Thanks Patrick.
I emailed them yesterday, and got a response back that they didn't make them anymore, nor had any extras tucked away somewhere.

Oh well. Aside from all the coolness of the DeLorean, that's one of a few things I think that are lacking and could stand an update, even a minor mod like that.

Check out Dakota Digital. If memory serves they have done D instrument cluster conversions in the past. . .. Think they could come up with a sweet modernization. http://www.dakotadigital.com/

I emailed Dakota Digital and they did get back. They had never done a full dash, only clocks. However they would be willing to do one, for the paltry sum of $1150.

For now I think I'll stay stock as there's other stuff I want to tackle first.

They've done the entire instrument cluster in several D's back in the 1990s.

EDIT: Matt Olans' car was one of them: http://www.deloreanmidatlantic.com/scrapbook/members/mpolans/mpolans.htm

Interesting. The guy who responded back said they didn't, however I'd guess he wasn't there back in the mid-90's. I'd like to see some pics of Matt's dash.

If I remember, there is an article about this dash into an old issue of "gullwing magazine".
