Needs a new front end piece on the frame probably and one rust spot near the accumulator.

Does the ballast resistor look like it's wired up incorrectly?

That paint job/idea isn't my favorite.

Neither is mine. Should of left it all black or stainless!!

They sure do get some rough cars..

Never seen such color scheme like that with the red sticker.
No VIN number?

A running DeLorean for 16,000. I don't see a problem, buy it.

No VIN number?

I thought it might be 5117, but the transmission doesn't match.

Otherwise, if judging by the pictures, may not be a bad buy for the price.

Pictures don't lie, do they?

...just being a little sarcastic :) Only from experience, unfortunately. The pictures/write-up versus seeing it in person part that is. Someone go see this car in person and report back.

Oh I agree completely. I'd never recommend anyone buy a car only from pictures, and I hope no one takes it that way. That's why I threw in the "judging by the pictures" part.

For sure Thomas. Funny how we learn as we go, eh? I think when I (stupidly) bought my car in 2007 I thought of the picture of the Save the Clock Tower flyer they were including as being important and not seeing a ton of frame pictures was not all that important. Young and dumb, is that how that expression goes? Or maybe just naïve and oblivious instead of the young part for some of us. It all worked out fine in the end though thank goodness :)

That's one of the nicer-looking cars I've seen advertised by the BHCC in that price range. Is it mentioned somewhere whether or not it runs?

The question is what did the car look like when Beverly Hills Car Club bought it, and before they probably sanitized it for pictures. They are famous for selling damaged beat up junk.

Vin is over 5993 as mine 5992 was the last one off the assembly line with a strap on the handle

Now they have another listed at 15k with the black stripes.

The thing with BHCC cars is they rarely say that they are running, so I generally assume that they aren't

That's their internal stock code Thomas. based on the few that I have seen VINs on, there is no correlation.

I have never seen this paint job either, which makes me thing it was also a stored car...

Does anyone else see ridiculous similarities between that paint scheme and the A-Team Van? It really looks like he "DeLorean-ified" the coloring, going behind the windows and everything.

That's because that's not Beverly Hills. Thats East LA. I work in Beverly Hills and was interested in visiting this place after work. Not even close.
