Just saw an ad for "Lost In Transmission" a new show on the History Channel with Rutledge Wood. It looks like they take really beat up cars and fix them up.

It is very similar to Wheeler Dealer, Rut finds the cars and the other guy fixes them up.

In the preview I saw about 2 seconds of a DeLorean. It appeared as if it was in a fire. On the website there is a better shot of the DeLorean. http://www.history.com/shows/lost-in-transmission/videos/lost-in-transmission-preview

The Series Premiere is Thurs May 7 at 10/9c on the History Channel.

From the site.

Top Gear co-host and automotive aficionado, Rutledge Wood and his friend and fellow car fanatic, George Flanigen, are on a mission: to rescue America’s greatest rides from barns and backyards across the South.

Together Rutledge and George will comb the garages of America to rescue the under-appreciated examples of automotive styling that time forgot, fix them up and get them back on the road. Their journey will take them off the beaten track, where they will get lost in local traditions, meet eccentric characters, and discover the heart of American car culture.

Two friends on the ultimate road trip saving America’s greatest, weirdest and coolest cars.

I could be wrong, but that Delorean look familiar. Looks like Chads Delorean VIN 3676.

It seems to me the Delorean is one of the easiest cars to replace in a produced TV show. Start the show with you seeing a car like this. Then throw in a bunch of none actual restoration work with brand history in the middle as opposed to seeing the restoration process to validate they are actually using the same car. Then Magically replace and reveal the car with one that already been restored or at least is close to the end product you want people to see. To a casual observer all Deloreans look the same except for BTTF clones. Am I being a little cynical? Yeah. I guess we'll just have to wait and see how the show turns out.
