I have a completely refurbished Craig up for grabs.
This radio also has a hard wired aux input that can be located wherever you see fit, or hidden for originality purposes.

$500 plus shipping. Insurance recommended.
Don't pay more or less for a unit that hasn't been refurbished by a professional.
I have shipped ASI's and Craig's around the world to owners who want 100% working original units with a little modern convenience.

Dave,
Would you take a trade for a working Craig original radio + cash? Just curious.

Good question - sometimes yes!
However not on this one. This particular radio used to belong to another community member who is selling it through me on consignment. He shipped it up earlier in the year for repair and sale.

I see, thanks.
What's your price for refurb/adding the aux input? I know this is slightly outside the scope of the original ad but this is on my list, albeit somewhat low right now.

Dave I have an original Craig that may or may not need repair. I bought it in claimed working condition but I have never verified it other than hooking it up to a jumper pack and it seems to power up but with a flashing display. Can I send it to you for testing and or repair? Although I have DMCH's Alpine sound package (big amp, sub, changer etc.) I wouldn't mind having an OE head unit to go with the car if I ever decide to sell it. Even if it does work, it may need to have the tape belts replaced due to age alone.
You can PM me info if you want.
Thanks

Dave,
What would you charge to re-furbish/clean a WORKING Craig radio and possibly add the AUX port? I'm curious because mine is working well but could probably use a little cleaning and such.

Usually we just replace the tape drive bands, clean the heads etc. probably 180? Just a guess but that seems to be a common number.

Hey Dave,
I never considered that an AUX jack could be added to the stock radios. I've just spent some time reading online about different methods. How does your mod work? Is it a hard wired FM modulation or is it truely a direct input? Is the tape deck functionality lost? What's the experience like? How would I switch to AUX mode?

It's a hard wired thru-put. No transmitters or modulators. Tape and radio function as they would normally until you plug in your device, at which point the device automatically overrides tape and radio function.

Sold.
I'm in the process of building up a small inventory again. If you have a radio in dubious working order you'd like to sell at a reasonable price, let me know.
