Looking for a California approved cat. My original one melted and no longer passes emissions.

Thanks.

You want a used one, right? One that was on a D that passed Calif. emissions? Not sure that a used one from outside Calif. would fail. It would depend on how "used" it is.

They all came with the same cat. originally.

In TPRoCalifornia don't mess with a used Cat. Bite the bullet and call DMC Cal.

When I first got my delorean it wouldn't pass. I had a new dmc california cat put on. Passed first try with flying colors. Check them out

Dave is right, but I'll bet any new cat will pass at least once lol.

Thanks guys. After receiving confirmation that the Cat sold by DMCH is certified in all 50 states, I will go ahead and order one from there.

Just saw you are in Modesto! Nice to find another local owner in the Valley.

Like-wise! I've been trying to get my car up to snuff so it passes smog, but it's been one thing after another.

I'd love to get in on the fun and go to one of our tech days. I've never met another D owner in the Valley, nor do I personally know anyone with first-hand knowledge and experience who'd be willing to inspect/tune-up the car with me. I've been tackling issues based on forum advice and research/trial-n-error.

Ryan and I have been doing work on our own cars for several years now. I consider us to be pretty knowledgeable. We might want to set up a "Tech Day" some time.

That would be fantastic! I ordered a new catalytic converter yesterday so now it's just a matter of time. I've had this car since September, and I'm very, very close to getting it fully registered (as long as it passes emissions).

As soon as you get it to pass, drive it down one weekend. We can all get lunch and do some work. We can try and broaden your DeLorean horizons!
