Has anyone tried this?

Thinking it might be interesting to try on the front and rear facias.

I bought it years ago to try on several trim parts; mainly the air cleaner. It was a complete failure. I dont think anyone would EVER take it for stainless steel. It just looks like silver paint, except very low quality. This was back in 2008 so maybe it's gotten better, but at the time I was very disappointed. Also despite what they said, it was not magnetic. I would recommend just doing a proper paint job with actual automotive paint.

Yup, just looks like regular silver paint and is not the best quality.

John Hervey (Special T Auto) uses it on his stainless coolant overflow bottles to paint the brass neck to match the stainless part of the tank. The paint peeled off almost instantly and never looked like stainless in the first place.
