Dash lights do not turn on at night, any ideas of the cause?

I have headlights, but now dash lights, please help.

Just to be the one to ask the obvious question, did you try playing with the rheostat on the shifter plate? Any chance you had that removed recently and its not plugged in right anymore?

Start with that, see if adjusting the dial has any effect, most likely the switch is bad.

Do your HVAC panel lights come on? What about the RH corner lamps (on the front and rear fenders)? If you have the HVAC panel lights and not the RH front/rear corner lamps, check your #8 fuse. I blew mine not long ago and didn't realize what had happened until I did a walk-around of the car.
