Electric Window Switches - Where are they from/what car?

I need to buy the sockets that plug into the window switches and I guess it will be easier to get them from the original car unless someone here has some for sale?

I believe the switches (and presumably the sockets) are from a Renault 9 or 11, neither one sold here in the US, assuming that's where you are

Possibly the Eagle Medallion or Premier might have a socket to suit as they were rebadged Renaults of the same ear

Am interested in this too. Don't understand why DMCH makes custom switches without selling the separate harness to go with it. Unless it's just not listed online for some reason? Not sure.

Im in NZ so will have access to those cars through wreckers. Its a great idea that switches have been released but sockets show be as well.

I need 10 sockets for another car project so ive bought the last 4 off the ebay auction and am checking with an Aliexpress seller to see if the sockets are available separately.

I want to use the 2 on/off switches for the power steering and day time running lights.

Also working on a new switch plate to align the switches as the ones here are taking too long and looking at a backlight option for the demister and the on/off switches.

Hopefully should have an update in the next week or so.

I made one in a pinch. I covered the bottom of the switch with plastic wrap as a release, then installed lengths of wires on traditional female terminals onto the switch. I then used a formable plastic epoxy:

and formed it into the bottom of the switch, encapsulating the wires and connectors.

After letting it set up for about an hour, pull it free from the switch and sand it down a little to get rid of defects.

Then just splice/solder the wires.

What I did to reduce the height is solder wires directly on the switch pins. The wires came out the open side. Then I put a different 5 pin connector on those wires. Put the new mating connector replacing the original on the harness.

I cancelled the ebay auction sale as a seller from Aliexpress sold me 10 plugs and harness for $20 shipped.

It looks like the window switches were sourced from a Renault 30, and may also cross to a Renault 5, 9, 14 and 18. None of which I have ever seen on this side of the pond. A Fuego may use the same plug, but even those are probably difficult to find in a US salvage yard these days.

Fyi, switches from a Maseratti Quattroporte go right in, the top is different but plug is the same. But now you are trusting Italian electronics.....

Don't know if this helps, but I bought these switches for my car from ebay...They work perfectly.

I know you don't need the switch itself, but you can use this to cross reference other cars that used them....Good Luck!

Correct, caps are smaller, but everything else fit and hooked up the same....these actually have the ability to be illuminated too, just have to hook up an extra wire

I have one for the defroster switch and tried the light. It turned out the switch cap had such a solid white paint that no light showed through.

Switches from Renault 9 or 11 (thy have the same oem-number) fit perfect and plug into the original socket but are smaller.
I have changed all the old switches in my car to new Renault ones:

Note that these are good for the demister switch and the on/off switches from DMCH.If you want to use for the electric window switches you would have to mod the back of the switch.

Finally got a chance to look into this. I searched for something, anything really that was at least on the Western half of the globe and had one of the models mentioned in the previous posts. Turns out it's a very hard part to find, even just straight-up Googling them. Not ready to give up, I tried googling "window switch pigtail" and scrolling through the results for a match.

Bingo!
