I've searched the parts store at DeLorean.com and haven't found a part number for something that I want to order from DMCMW tomorrow.
It's a black plug that's in the moulding under each door.

34986
Plug.

34987
No plug.

Anybody have a Clue what these are? (Oh, and a part number for them)?

Thanks!

George

George, those same covers fit cleverly over the top of the shock towers in the front trunk. Just the very top (under the carpet board) where the nut is visible. Get two more of those same parts and you can clean up/hide the shock tower bolts as well.

Ssw the thread title and was expecting something right out of Silence of the Lambs ;)

Mine came off actually, and I keep forgetting to put it back on. Does that part glue in place, or is it a snap-in deal?

Great idea. Thanks Jonathan!

Do yourself a favor & use rtv/silicone to glue them on. As you see on most cars, they are missing...adhesive will save you the frustration of them falling off in the near future....plus using a silicone will allow you to take them off if you ever need to.

I finally remembered to take a picture of the inside of the trunk without the carpet board in there.

Here's what those seatbelt bolt covers look like placed over the shock tower bolt tops. These ones are not RTV'ed in place.
