I saw this in my local bookstore today.
"We Don't Need Roads: The Making of the BTTF Trilogy"
I didn't know this was in the works. I'll likely go back and pick-up a copy for myself. It has a Bob Gale endorsement on the front cover and one on the back cover by Ernest Cline, the author of Ready Player One (which was the novel that gave away a DeLorean as part of the book marketing/contest).
Post back if you read it or know what the story is.

Bought but haven't read yet.
Book was written over about 3 years... Interviewed most of the cast and production team.
Supposedly some good anecdotes in there.
In the past he also wrote about Pee-Wee's Playhouse and A Christmas Story.
Another book to pre-order is Back To The Future : Ultimate Visual History. Comes out in October...

This one is the officially licensed book, with a Forward by Michael J. Fox, Preface by Christopher Lloyd, Introduction by Bob Gale, and an Afterward by Robert Zemeckis!

Jonathan,
Thanks for the reminder. I’m on the backtothefuture.com email reminder list and I received an email mentioning this paper back book last February 2nd.
I just placed an order for “We Don’t Need Roads: The Making of the Back to the Future Trilogy” by Caseen Gaines through Amazon.
Not sure exactly when it will arrive but I can’t wait! Later I can provide a review of the book but whatever I write won’t mean anything if you don’t already love the BTTF trilogy.
