My car is making fine, sort of high pitch metal grinding or air hissing like noise at idle and at low RPM. At the same time, engine is vibrating and experiencing a lose of power at the start or low speed. Once I get up to 30mph, car behaves almost like normal. But as soon as I slow down, I can hear the noise and car starts to vibrate moderately.
I drove this car to work this morning and drove back home without any issues (25ml round trip). Outdoor temp was at 100F today. Parked car for about 30 min at home and I drove to a shopping mall, 5 miles away. Parked car for about 30 min and came out from the store. When I tried to start the car, I started having hot start like problem and car wouldn't start. After several tries, car started finally but I'm start hearing hissing noises and vibration. I stopped and checked engine but couldn't see anything out of ordinary. Belts are all fine. Fluids are all ok. AC worked fine. Drove with AC off but didn't make any differences.
Only thing that I did differently was to test my heater today. I wanted to see if turning on heater would reduce engine temp or not. Otherwise, car was working fine and I have been driving it to work and back home since Monday. My guess is something wrong with fuel system. Difficulty w starting and lose of power. But I'm just not sure about this strange noise.
